Well all in all it was a good show for me, some bumps, some interesting conversations, lots of practice describing my methods, and some rain!
Thursday was set up day I rented a tent which was supposed to be set up when we arrived, uh huh right.
what I saw when we got there, late
Dan and his posse once he corralled them, that took about a half hour
they tried to leave after the tent was weighted down and up and one guy actually did manage to disppear, as they were walking away I said aren't you gonna put the walls up????? oh do you want us to do that???????? well, hell yes, Dan.....it was now after 4:00......sigh and hot really very hot
my crew, waiting waiting waiting, good thing they weren't getting paid by the hour
Friday was a beautiful summer Colorado morning which quickly became hot...
my booth which did look pretty good although did forget to photo it much
father and young child looking at the big bad wolf
Saturday was, well I should have known when I saw the clouds hanging low in the canyon, it was nice that the clouds moved in and cooled us off which was promptly followed by a huge downpour, that completely trapped a group of people in my tent and the water managed to make it up to my grids.......
very typical cloud behavior when it gets cool
Saturday morning things warming up in sales and weather
note the brown shorts, crocs and tee shirt
posed in front being tempted
in the booth!
note the bottom of the grid, this is during "the big one" we all got soaked
well here we are trapped inside my tent with the place totally closed up for about a half hour luckily this kid helped me close my tent because my ladder had floated away, got it back later, the fair closed early this was pretty much the end of the day around 5ish
Sunday was a good day too we had nice weather all day, my booth sitters were on time and collected the money for the magnets while I grabbed a bite.....interestingly the rental guys were right on time too but they had to wait for me this time......
my tent was right by the alley where we parked our truck on the last day
