Here are a couple of things I've been working on this week end. The "China man on a horse" is a redo and the rabbit is a new one obviously not finished but so far I'm happy with the progress, wanted to do more lights but the tin was not deep enough.
Well catching up on holiday things and stuff, and working at the gallery I thought I would put up this picture of my favorite white Lanseer Newfie! Working on new shrines as well,
more of those soon. If I could write, I'd wax poetic about the beautiful snow......however it is so freaking cold that even if I could be poetic I'm not in the mood ...geez!
We had loads of fun on Christmas day everybody came to my house, although there was a moment when I thought the snow would cancel everything. We got the most snow ever on Christmas day and friends we are getting 6 more inches tonight!! If you're playing stash with the Global Warming send it our way okay!! Here are a couple of shots from yesterday, my super dooper found car parts wind chimes (note new snow), and one of my Newfies showing off in the kitchen and just looking, well, Newfie like
.
This is my Jeepers Creepers shrine, it has a promo button for the film which has a blinking red eye I just could not capture that. The eye is in the center with mica and waxed paper around the edges, the eye also has a binocular lens over the top to enlarge it, porky-pine quills top and bottom.
Here is the last page!! My friend suggested I change the last one so I don't have a scan yet. The tree is printed on holigraphic paper. Finished another little shrine this one has a blinking light, more later. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Here's a couple more pages......these two have pockets one has pictures the other can have more pictures or....????? I always pickup odds and ends at estate sales and I'm drawn to beads, lace items and old jewelry. I'm combining various elements of paper and material throughout the book. I like the way it looks!
Here are the wedding book scans I am still having problems with my
scanner. The first is the cover and next two pages. Now let me just say
that I am not a book maker and I'm sure the seasoned book makers are
rolling their eyes, I did have a few problems and had to solve them as
best I knew how. This is very different from what I do usually so I don't know what I think about it yet.
