All the preliminary "stuff", like collaging, gluing, drying, spackle, drying, measuring, then finally painting and drying is kinda tedious. That said I have noticed it does have a rather Zen quality to it. I am happy about the way the collage came out in this painting with my new method which should have been my old method, when things get this big it's critical to have a nice flat surface. Gee I'm glad I took a minute to think about it before launching right into it. It never fails to amaze me that the most obvious totally eludes me until the "ah-ha" moment.
floor done, again the middle ground stays flat because the image will occupy a sizable chunck of the space
