MORE JUDAS GOAT

Getting closer to finishing, it needs to sit awhile before coating.....

THE JUDAS GOAT

I have been cooking this idea of doing a Judas goat for a number of months. The one I am working on now is just the beginning of this idea which has so many possibilities. The Judas goat as you might imagine is a betrayer. He is trained to lead the lambs to the slaughter house. I wonder if he feels anything.

doing the goats first, I always start with the eyes

more detail now it's time to work on the other items then I will go back finish details on the animals and heart and finish up the background. Looks like another long day on this, so happy the weather is crappy I can work guilt free. What a luxury to be working 8 hours, pretty much nonstop!!

 

STEAMPUNK HEART

Just finished a commissioned steampunk heart which was a blast to make I worked on it between working on the other inspirational crow piece.

AND THE CROWS HAVE IT

I was working on a commission piece when I suddenly got an idea for an assemblage which I did, here is the process:

crow with eyes attached

the heads attached and painted with eyes attached and hanger for the back done

all done, it is mounted on an old stove part which is totally cool and makes a perfect little assemblage.

A COMMISSION PIECE STARTED

I just started a new commission piece, steampunk heart, I forgot how fun these are I think I will make a few for my show too as long as I am in the steampunk mode.

I started this painting, decided that I like it but this painting would have to be bigger so I will scrub this out and start again on something more suitable for a smaller format, maybe......
