WHAT WE ARE DOING ON OUR ALLEY WALL

For at least a year we have been talking about what to do on the alley wall. It was wheat pasted a couple of years ago with posters for the month of photography. Over time the posters were ripped and torn covered with tagging. So we decided on Friday night to finally just do something about it. With totally no planning we jumped in two days later. Here are some shots from Sunday. Stay tuned more to come.

MOSTLY DONE

Scapegoat is mostly done. Had to make a hard decision about the lower background and this seemed to be the solution that I liked other than that he came out pretty good I think, he fits the feeling I want for this piece. I still want to fiddle with his horns a little, maybe stripes.....

Here are a few shots of my progress on scapegoat, I can see some problems already but what else is new......horns are obviously screwed up need to change the shadows, duh....

SCAPEGOAT

I'm starting another piece for my show in mid April with Alix Evendorff, an abstract expressionist. Keeping with the trend that asserted itself a couple of months ago the next piece is "scapegoat". This show has picked me instead of the other way around. Usually I pick a theme for a show then produce pieces that fit that theme exploring different aspects of an idea, for instance, the last show I did was about looking at negative space with the predator vs prey idea. This time the ideas are coming so fast I find myself overwhelmed and almost paralyzed, it's been hard to keep up, so many directions all at once.

Started my drawing from reference material but not quite done.
